About Us
I might be ignored but I am not invisible
“Lines of Grey” is an organization that seeks to take photography to the door steps of marginalised children in communities around the world. The organisation comprises of small and passionate group, whose life is intrinsically linked to photography. We share the common faith in the ability of photography to capture the imagination of children, to inspire them, build confidence, and give them a voice.
Children were motivated by play, humor and adventure. Poverty molds the scope of their imagination, but does not curtail it. The richest tales would surface through conversations with these children. No amount of money or schooling distributed randomly to these children can help them as much as a personal attention, where both their angst and amazement at this world are interpreted, addressed and cultivated. Lines of Grey works to nurture the child's individuality, creativity and give them a platform were their stories have a resonance. Proceeds from the sale of photographs and art work, go back to the children for their education.
